Waldron Instruments Violin Kit
This was my first violin project. The violin was assembled from a Waldron Instruments kit.
The quality of the kit was very high, with nicely figured maple back and neck.
The hardest part of this kit was routing the purfling channels.
In fact, I ruined my first top and had to replace it.
I did get to learn about how a violin goes together, setting up a violin.
It was also a major finishing project for me, applying the spirit varnish sunburst finish.
I mixed my own colors using the Colortone tints Amber and tobacco brown.
