Sunburst Les Paul Saga Guitar Kit I really only make acoustic guitars, both steel string and classical, but my daughter wanted me to make a Les Paul style guitar for her. I found this relatively cheap Saga guitar kit. The body and neck were OK and went together well. The pickups and wiring in the base kit looked really bad, so I had Torres Engineering ship the kit with a EMG Zakk Wylde EMG 81/85 Pickup Set upgrade. I sprayed the sunburst with Colortone Aerosol Guitar Lacquer from Steward MacDonald. I sprayed an amber coat on the top followed by cherry red on the edges and highlighted with tobacco brown. I followed with a few coats of clear.
