Another Christmas rush — this time a Brazilian Rosewood and Lutz Spruce tenor ukulele as a gift for my daughter Claire. I put most of the photos into a build process video rather than posting them individually. It documents the whole journey in about five minutes.

Lutz Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back, sides, and pegboard veneer. East Indian Rosewood bridge and fretboard. Curly Maple bindings. The instrument is French-polished with a Silvertip epoxy pore fill on the back, sides, and peghead veneer.

Herman noticed the label inside — “by Dad” — and loved it. Brent called it one serious musical instrument. Here is a sound sample right after the initial setup, nut and saddle right off the bench:
